Indo Surf Expedition

A while ago we gave 3 Loadout and UltraCases to a young French film maker for a surf expedition on some remote Indonesian islands. In return, he promised to send us his comments and pictures. He is still on his trip but his father forwarded the following pictures and texts to us.

The UK cases “saved my life”, especially all my equipment from the beginning to the end of the trip, during transportation, by planes, small boats, cars, motorcycles… and on some islands it was the only dry place to keep the camera. I can say they are INDISPENSABLE and in top of it, they make comfortable benches by the fire…

Sometimes we have to walk during kilometers under the rain, trails look like rivers. We have to roll the cases in the mud, then carry them in the mangrove, have them stocked on fishing boats during days, carry them on beaches … Everything is soaked and covered with sand : our stainless steel leatherman tools have rusted in 3 days… Everything that isn’t kept in the UK cases is damaged. The cases stay “in good shape”

There are a lot of mosquitoes here. It’s pouring with rain all day long. We have no shed, our hammock are soaked. During 11 days we have been walking on the reef, our hands and feet are all cut, we are burning ourselves with the fire (to cook). Everything everywhere is wet with 100% humidity… Glad I get the UK cases!

After our stay, we managed to get back to the mainland aboard a small fishing boat. The journey was just horrible: big swell, with 20 knots of wind in the face, we were absolutely soaked! Thanks to the UK cases I “saved” all my camera and filming equipments…
